    Dr. K. Durairaj is the son of Sri Kulandaivelu Pillai, a teacher in Rajah's Elementary School. His son Durairaj took up teachership in the Rajah's High School a level higher than what his father held, which was spoken very highly. Later, he rose up to the level of obtaining his Doctorate in Tamil and also the Principal of Senthamil College.

    Now it is a museum of Mahakavi Bharathi. It is in this house, his maternal uncle Sambasiva Iyer used to live. Mr Sambasiva Iyer himself was a Patriot and his family, children and grand children are now spread throughout the globe. Few of his grand children are my friends.
